The study examines key indicators such as turnover and employment figures in Germany&#8217;s most populous federal state and offers a differentiated analysis of the current pop landscape as well as suggestions for further strengthening the location.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">One of the key findings of the study is that the participants see NRW as a versatile pop location with a high proportion of regional acts, a variety of subcultures and a large number of concert venues. All levels of the value chain are represented in NRW, characterized by a strong independent structure. However, the displacement of clubs and affordable rehearsal spaces, a lack of infrastructure, including in the area of promotion, and a lack of a spirit of optimism are limiting the development potential. NRW needs to make greater use of and promote its potential and relevance as the second-largest music industry location in Germany and the country&#8217;s most densely populated club scene.
