After four years of intensive collaboration, during which the PopBoard was founded and developed, Dorette Gonschorek and Norbert Oberhaus will step down as managing directors at the end of the year. Both will return to their original activities at ROOF Music and cologne on pop GmbH.

Anna-Kathrin Dietrich and Till Skoruppa have been the new management duo at PopBoard NRW since January 2025.

Here are the personal farewell words from Dorette Gonschorek and Norbert Oberhaus:

“Over the past four years, as a management duo, we have been able to build up the PopBoard NRW and give pop culture in NRW both the structure and the visibility it deserves.

It was an incredibly intensive time – we are particularly pleased that we were able to launch such diverse and important sub-projects for the pop music scene. And above all, the “surveying” of the pop landscape via studies in recent years, which culminated in a comprehensive overall evaluation and a funding vision, is a great conclusion to our time in management. We are also very happy with the Pop-Map NRW, which we were the first federal state to create in 2022. With over 4,500 entries from the diverse pop landscape, it shows at a glance the great potential of our industry in NRW, the extent of which we were honestly surprised by ourselves.

We would like to thank our team, the shareholders, the PopBoard advisory board and the many players in the pop music scene in NRW for the intensive and good cooperation. We wish our successors Anna-Kathrin Dietrich and Till Skoruppa the best of luck and skill for the continuation of the PopBoard.”
